Renovation of Daniel's Bungalow - Saffron Walden Almshouses

The Trustees are delighted to announce that a planning application has been submitted for a complete renovation of Daniel’s Bungalow which will provide two units in place of the current one. Full details can be found on Uttlesford District Council‘s website. If the application is successful work should start later this year. The building is the oldest on our site, having been at various times a laundry, mortuary and Warden’s home, and we’re very pleased that it will now have a new incarnation as 21st-century homes.

The Trustees and Beneficiaries welcome all donations, whether one-off, regular or by bequest, for the maintenance and improvement of the dwellings and the grounds.
