Longstanding Trustee retires

Last week we said goodbye to Diana Hoy, one of our longest-serving Trustees, on her retirement. Diana has been a hugely-committed and much-valued Trustee of our Almshouses since 2004 and, with her additional longstanding involvement in the Almshouse movement at both regional and national level, we are going to miss her expertise and guidance. However, we are delighted that she will continue to be involved with us in a volunteer capacity. To mark her retirement we presented her with a specially-commissioned framed picture of our historic Abbey Lane building, drawn and hand-coloured by illustrator Sarah Turpin, an almshouse resident, together with a large bouquet of flowers.
