Estate Manager

Victoria joined us as Estate Manager in May 2019. She has lived in Saffron Walden all her life, so has always known about the Almshouses. A former Executive Assistant, with a strong background in Administration and Corporate Social Responsibility, Victoria’s primary duties are all matters relating to the residents and the buildings.

Business Manager

Lisa was appointed Business Manager in April 2020. She has lived in the Saffron Walden area for over 30 years and prior to joining us spent 10 years working for local charities, with responsibility for their finances among other things. For a number of years she worked as a data analyst for a pharmaceutical company and likes to leave no stone unturned! She belongs to a local fête committee and spends her free time as a beekeeper. Lisa’s main duties are related to the Charity’s finances and supporting residents with their maintenance contributions.

Ray Parrott

Health, Safety & Compliance Manager

Ray joined us as Health, Safety and Compliance Manager in August 2024. He has lived in Saffron Walden since 1999, with all his children attending County High. A former Mining Engineer who turned to the dark side of Health and Safety, Ray’s main responsibilities will be ensuring compliance with our statutory duties under the plethora of health and safety, and corporate governance, legislation.

Rachel Hill

Rachel Hill

Office Administrator

Rachel joined us in September 2023. She provides administrative support to the Business, Estate and Compliance Managers, and takes the minutes at our regular Board and Committee meetings. She has lived in Saffron Walden for over 15 years and previously worked as Development Officer at Newnham College, Cambridge, and more recently as a freelance editor, writer and proof-reader. Rachel also runs local singing events, and is a member of Saffron Walden Pop Choir.
